About Phalaenopsis Orchids
When their orchid flowers expire, trim the stem at an angle just above the node, below where the first flower bloomed. If the stem is looking yellow and withering, trim to the base of the plant. Cared for correctly, new flower spikes will begin to grow. This typically happens on an annual basis.
Orchid plants love a light, warm position and high humidity. Use the ‘green thumb’ method of watering, by checking whether the soil feels dry before giving more water.
